CALL TO ALL PATIENTS WITH PROSTHESIS PIP
Dear Madam,
In early December 2012, the news spread about the harmful PIP implants. Many women who have had breast augmentation done, have of course a lot of questions.
PIP implants are at increased risk of complications such as cracks and leaks. Sometimes, leaks or cracks not immediately lead to complaints with it. Leaking or ripping prostheses may include the following signs and symptoms indicate: changing shape of the breast, pain and visible from the exterior of the capsule around the implant.
Registered plastic surgeons from Quan Clinic advise you to take a mammography or MRI (NMR) and an ultrasound of your breast. These costs are fully reimbursed by health insurance funds. The English government advises pre-emptive removal of the PIP prostheses, however according to the French government the advise is to pre-emptive remove the PIP implants. The following countries follow that advice : France, Belgium, Germany and Holland.
To meet the English patients who had PIP prostheses placed in the past, Quan Clinic prepared an all-inclusive package which contains radiology diagnoses and the procedure to remove the PIP prostheses and exchanges them with an FDA approved prostheses.
